Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
Appreciate the interrelated character of cultural, landscape, professional, heritage and environmental archaeologies, their shared and contrasting approaches to the past, and the interpretative value of integrated and/or comparative perspectives in archaeological study.
Understand up-to-date generic and pathway-specific research methodologies and interpretative frameworks in key areas of archaeological enquiry.
Evaluate critically the relationships between theoretical ideas, research methods and interpretations in archaeological enquiry, and come to independent conclusions about the validity of analyses and interpretative arguments.
Communicate knowledge and research ideas orally to a professional standard in a seminar presentation context.
