Description The module will introduce students into the world of language services project managers, whose main job is to ensure that projects are effectively and efficiently managed. Students will gain deep insight into all aspects of project management, from communication to customer service, and technology to finance, develop the skills needed to become project managers in the language services industry, and critically reflect on the key characteristics that an efficient project manager needs.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • demonstrate in-depth knowledge of project management demands within real-world contexts;
  • demonstrate up-to-date understanding of the skills required to become a project manager;
  • demonstrate the ability to handle translation and/or interpreting projects effectively;
  • demonstrate the ability to critically review project management services policies.
