The module Teaching Shakespeare is taught in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company. It addresses key issues in the teaching of Shakespeare in its broadest sense – from school, to University, to spaces outside of the schoolroom or academy. It addresses issues of EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) in Shakespeare education, applied Shakespeare, teaching Intercultural Shakespeares, teaching Shakespeare in context, active methods for teaching Shakespeare and the use of digital technologies. The module is taught over 6 sessions and a 3 day residential in Stratford. The residential will involve two intensive days of RSC Education workshops, and a session reflecting on Education Research in the light of RSC Research Case Studies.
