Students work in schools developing the skills embedded in the Core Content Framework for Initial Teacher Training, as well as working and learning alongside expert colleagues. Students will plan and teach lessons of roughly half a normal teachers timetable as well as observe lessons and be involved in wider school experiences. This module is closely linked with the School Studies modules where the best available evidence underpinning of practice is covered to enable students to be able to reflect upon and critically analyse their practice.

Demonstrate knowledge of the central themes of behaviour management, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, and professional behaviours in planning and teaching pupils (in the 11-18 range).
